Schick x and Basketball New Zealand slam dunk top award at NZ Sports & Recreation

AUCKLAND, Thursday: Schick and Basketball New Zealand (BBNZ) just scored big at the NZ Sports & Recreation awards, nabbing top honours in the Commercial Partnerships category. Chemistry and Applause Communications were also recognized for their impactful leverage.

Since 2017, Schick has supported national tournaments, celebrated the basketball community with Schick Everyday Ballers, and introduced Schick NeighbourHoops.

Mike Larmer, Director of Chemistry, said, “The award is a significant achievement for the team, especially considering the nearly 80 entries.”

Building on Schick Everyday Ballers’ success, Chemistry and Applause Communications launched Schick NeighbourHoops to connect with grassroots basketball fans.

They collaborated with Basketball New Zealand’s Community Team and local councils to upgrade basketball hoops. Fans chose where 10 Schick NeighbourHoops were installed.
