AUCKLAND, Today: Hawke’s Bay-based agency FizzyPop has won the competitive pitch to collaborate with Summerfruit NZ on a vibrant campaign showcasing New Zealand’s freshest summer fruits.
“We wanted to show that sweet and tasty cherries, nectarines, peaches, apricots, and plums can provide people working through or with family commitments with a taste of summer, even if they are not at a holiday spot over December and January,” says Dean Smith, Chief Executive of Summerfruit NZ.
The campaign features five 15-second ads that highlight the colours, textures, and deliciousness of summer fruits, designed to excite the senses and capture the spirit of summer.
“Summer fruits are not just delicious, they epitomise the spirit of a Kiwi summer,” says Tom Young, Director at FizzyPop. “Imagine the taste of a sun-ripened peach or the first fresh cherry on a sweltering Christmas Day, that’s the essence we wanted to bottle in our visuals.”

“We aim to remind everyone that even if you’re tied to your desk or on-shift through the holiday season, you can still savour a slice of summer bliss,” he adds.
Running across TVNZ, YouTube, and social media, the campaign also includes a dedicated website landing page developed by FizzyPop to extend its reach.
Kristen Curran, Art Director at FizzyPop, shares her excitement, saying, “We love working with Summerfruit NZ, and it’s a perfect fit for our expertise in the agricultural sector.”
“We understand the hard work that goes in from the growers and we want to make sure that the finished executions really captured how juicy and delicious looking the fruit was – thanks to our friends at the production agency Indelible we’ve once again achieved stunning results!”
Fresh New Zealand-grown summer fruit is now available in stores, with the season extending into February. Whether as snacks, in salads, or preserved in Kiwi style, these fruits offer great value and a taste of summer.
