AUCKLAND, Today: Karangahape Road-based agency The Goat Farm is now handling insights, PR, and media relations for Auckland Pilot Training Group (APTG), New Zealand’s largest pilot training organisation.

APTG operates campuses and aircraft fleets at both North Shore and Ardmore Airports. Irene King, CEO of APTG Southern Campus, says The Goat Farm was the perfect fit for their needs.

“We’ve got important stories to tell as the sector faces regulatory and financial challenges to meet the huge demand for commercial pilots. TGF combines strength in brand and storytelling with great connections into editorial media.”

“Our work with APTG will be all about removing barriers and making it possible for more people to get into the pilot’s seat.” – Vaughn Davis

Adding to the connection, TGF founder Vaughn Davis brings his aviation expertise as one of New Zealand’s few agency owners with an airline pilot’s licence, instructor rating, and aerobatic display flying qualification.

“I loved my aviation career and wish that more rangatahi could see it as an option for them,” Davis said. “Our work with APTG will be all about removing barriers and making it possible for more people to get into the pilot’s seat.”

Alongside supporting APTG’s February launch, The Goat Farm has also produced the State of the Flight Deck survey, offering insights into life as a commercial pilot in 2024.
