AUCKLAND, Today: Cardrona Alpine Resort is about to level up—officially becoming New Zealand’s biggest ski area this winter with the launch of Soho Basin and 150ha of new chairlift-accessed terrain.
It’s been a forty-year dream, and now, it’s finally happening. With Soho Basin, Cardrona becomes the country’s ultimate alpine playground.
Leaning into its cheeky roots, Cardrona’s latest campaign flips the script: what if grown-ups threw the end-of-day tantrums instead of kids?
The result? A gloriously messy meltdown. Think snot, drama, and full-blown adult despair—brought to life with help from Kiwi comedian Josh Thomson.
Created by Wānaka agency The Beards, the campaign captures the hilarity of having to leave the slopes when you really, really don’t want to.
Expect snowy tantrums to show up across the country, with billboards and digital placements running for the next two months.
