AUCKLAND, Today: Melanie Spencer, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Thompson Spencer, has been shortlisted for Campaign Asia-Pacific’s Women Leading Change Awards in the CEO of the Year category. She’s the only Australasian recognised!
The Women Leading Change Awards are now in their ninth year, celebrating women who are smashing barriers, shaking up the industry, and leading with bold innovation.
It’s been a massive year for Melanie. She successfully merged multiple business units into one killer brand, Thompson Spencer, and launched international offices, including boots on the ground in Australia.
She also led a ground-breaking merge with performance agency, Reason, making Thompson Spencer one of New Zealand’s largest independent agencies. Definitely not one to sit still!
“It’s such an honor to be shortlisted, an honour that is amplified even more by being recognised as the only Kiwi or Aussie alongside such incredible international CEOs!” – Melanie-Spencer
Melanie is known for championing innovation and creating teams that feel supported, challenged, and seriously empowered. She’s all about building a creative powerhouse with serious commercial smarts.
Thompson Spencer has built a unique reputation as a full-funnel, full-noise agency, with their socially-led, ‘flip the model’ strategy absolutely smashing it for clients time and again.
Being shortlisted for CEO of the Year is a huge nod to Melanie’s belief in backing independent agencies to punch well above their weight — and they’re doing just that.
“It’s such an honor to be shortlisted” says Melanie, “an honour that is amplified even more by being recognised as the only Kiwi or Aussie alongside such incredible international CEOs!
“This year has been extraordinary for the whole team and our clients, and I’m immensely proud of what we’ve achieved together.”
The winner will be announced at the Women Leading Change event in Singapore on the 26th of May.
