Lead singer Danny O’Donoghue of multi-platinum band The Script stars in Hallenstein Brothers latest campaign created by Lachlan McPherson & Friends (the new Auckland agency formed by ECD Lachlan McPherson and star creative Mikhail Gherman when Mojo NZ folded in 2012) and filmed in Cuba.
Danny O’Donoghue fronts the campaign from leading NZ menswear brand Hallenstein Brothers to launch their winter 2015 collection.
The 60-second launch film, which airs for the first time today, explores the notion of brotherhood and is set in the colourful and exuberant streets of Havana in post-revolutionary Cuba.
“With our online business, our reach is becoming more global, and Danny has global appeal,” said Hallenstein Brothers general manager Glenn Hunter. “He’s had over a billion views on YouTube; he’s a multi-platinum artist, and has been a coach on The Voice UK … but he has never modelled before, so Hallensteins was thrilled to give him his first modelling job.
“Danny loves our latest range, which includes sleek premium suiting with stretch fit technology, as well as new season designer chinos.”
Hallenstein Brothers brand developer Lachlan McPherson said: “We were inspired by the iconic images of brotherhood that Cuba is famous for, and by the way a group of ‘brothers’ could build a culture that is part of modern legend.”
The Script tours Australia and New Zealand in April and May.
