The Motor Trade Association has selected Y&R NZ as its advertising agency following a three month review process. “We had an extremely good response to our advertising brief,” said MTA ceo Warwick Quinn. “All of the agencies involved in the review demonstrated excellent strategic thinking and a clear understanding of our brand journey.”

The re-alignment to Y&R NZ marks the end of a 15-year relationship between MTA and GSL Promotus. “We would like to acknowledge the work and commitment from GSL Promotus over the years,” Quinn said. “The MTA brand is in good health and we are very fortunate to have a robust platform to relaunch the new brand position from.”

He said the decision to align with Y&R NZ was based on the agency’s committed senior leadership, innovative media approach and unique understanding of the MTA brand.

“The MTA is a very well-known automotive brand and we’re looking forward to working on the next steps of the brand journey – exciting times ahead,” said Y&R Wellington managing director Tim Ellis.
