Pead PR’s Amanda Ingle has taken out the PR Rising Star award at the annual Bauer Media Best in Beauty Awards 2016 announced this week in Auckland.
Ingle is the third Peadie in the past four years to win one of the PR awards. Hannah Morgan won the same award in 2015 and Kristen McCarthy (nee Peoples) was named PR Personality of the Year in 2013.
Pead PR beauty team account director Angela March says awards don’t come more meaningful for young PR practitioners than the Rising Star honour.
“The beauty media are telling us that Mandy is always so attentive, with nothing ever a problem and she also is great at pitching creative ideas,” March said. “The fact the award is chosen by the Beauty editors themselves says a great deal about Amanda’s outstanding PR skills.”
Ingle says hearing her name read out was a “surreal moment”.
“A complete shock and I’m still coming down from cloud nine. It goes without saying the win isn’t just a personal accolade; it is very much a team effort between agency and client.
“Without our clients at L’Oréal providing the amazing opportunities for content, and without the tremendous work behind the scenes that our beauty team commits themselves to with New Zealand’s media industry, the win would never have been possible.”
Amanda Ingle joined Pead PR in 2013 and is an account manager on the agency’s beauty team.
