ad:tech Auckland enlists Google NZ chief

Google NZ country director Caroline Rainsford is the latest signing for IABNZ’s large ad/media/tech eventad:tech Auckland – to be held in November.

Rainsford is responsible for driving Google’s overall business operation and is focussed on helping NZ businesses grow and transform in the digital age.

Prior to joining Google, she was marketing & product director for Latitude NZ (previously

GE Capital) as well as brand director for their broader AU/NZ region.

Before her return to New Zealand in 2013, she worked for Philips Royal Electronics across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

When she’s not helping customers, Rainsford spends her time with her husband chasing two children around the parks and beaches of Auckland. She also loves tennis and is an enthusiastic skier.

Opening this year’s ad:tech conference is world-known strategist and futurist Dr Jeffery Cole, the founder and director of the Centre for a Digital Future at the University of California Berkeley. In the last 10 years he has presented to over 500 audiences on digital transformation and disruption.

Other keynote speakers for the event include: Chris Denson (director – Ignition Factory at OMD/PHD USA), Scott Dinsdale (media & entertainment lead at APAC Accenture Sydney); and Kiwi tech entrepreneur Claudia Batten.
