APN Outdoor has launched creative initiate Pixel361° with a live briefing at The Paddington in Parnell.

Developed in house at APNO, Pixel361° invites creative minds to design a campaign for Men’s Health Trust, using APN Outdoor’s suite of digital products.

The briefing gathered representatives from the 53 registered teams to share the ins and outs of the task at hand. The teams of two now have until this Sunday 20 September to complete the artwork required in preparation for the pitch night next Thursday where the top entries will pitch for the win.

“The enthusiasm from the market has been overwhelming, with so many registrations in such a short period,” said APNO general manager Phil Clemas.

“Now that the brief is with the teams we are hotly anticipating what great ideas and initiatives will come out next week.”

The task for the teams is to create and submit a campaign for Men’s Health Trust using APN Outdoor’s large format digital billboards, known as Elite Screens, as well as airport full motion portrait & landscape screens in and around Auckland & Christchurch Airports.

“Men’s health is not only an important issue for the individual but hugely important to their loved ones, employers, friends and their communities,” Clemas said. “The Men’s Health Trust is all about inspiring men to make better choices about their lifestyles and not be afraid of having a more proactive attitude. I look forward to seeing some exciting submissions next week that will no doubt warrant broad exposure and help them deliver on their purpose.”

Pixel 361° will come to a head next Thursday evening when the shortlist will be revealed followed by a live pitch for those who make the cut.

Clemas reminds all entrants to come prepared as shortlisted teams will not be notified prior and will have minimal prep time on the night itself.

The judging panel of judges, chaired by Colenso’s Nick Garrett, includes Damon Stapleton from DDB, Richard Thompson from Contagion, Phil Clemas and international guest judge Sanjay Manandhar from Boston-based digital software developer Aerva.

The winners get a trip to SXSW in Austin, Texas in March 2016. The prize includes travel and accommodation for two as well as $500 spending money with the winning campaign also being granted $100,000 worth of APN Outdoor’s media space.
