APN Outdoor has launched its latest airport campaign Why Airports? with its Flight Club paper plane-throwing contest running a across two separate events in Christchurch and Wellington last week.
The Flight Club events are being rolled out in conjunction with the Why Airports? campaign, currently live in market. “The campaign comes at a time of significant air travel growth across New Zealand in the last 6-12 months, and highlights the unique capacity of APN Outdoor’s airport advertising to engage passengers and visitors alike,” says APNO NZ sales director Kent Harrison.
“Clients, media agency representatives and the wider industry came together to have a shot at throwing the furthest paper dart, with winners receiving Samsonite luggage. In Christchurch, Nathan Pilkington of Strategy Design & Advertising clocked up a winning score, and in Wellington Lisa Tennant of MBM also threw a winner.
“The Flight Club events are a great way to promote a bit of friendly competition between clients and agencies while also bringing our airport inventory into the spotlight at a time when passenger numbers are regularly breaking records. With a 5.6% average year on year passenger increase and 1 in 2 New Zealanders intending to travel in the next 6 -12 months, it’s a great time for advertisers to be active in this space.”
Flight Club next lands in Auckland in June.
