Domono’s Pizza and Auckland Conventions Venues & Events have made new appointments of interest to the ad and publishing sector.
* Domino’s Pizza has hired Emma Barnes as PR Manager, bringing the role in-house after a long relationship with Impact PR.
Barnes is ex Adshel (marketing manager) and King St Advertising (account manager).
* Auckland’s growing conventions market has led to two new appointments at the organisation which manages most of the city’s top venues.
Auckland Conventions Venues & Events, which runs the Viaduct Events Centre, Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland Zoo, Mt Smart Stadium, Bruce Mason Centre and The Civic has appointed Andrea Breton to the new role of Marketing Manager and Linda Holmes as Sales & Event Planner.
Breton is ex Auckland Conventions Bureau (ACB) – a not-for-profit division of Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED), where she worked on sales & marketing, project management and business development.
She takes up her new role on May 19th.
Linda Holmes has been appointed Sales & Events Planner, leading team of eight.
She has nine years’ experience, mainly in the wine industry. She says that while her extensive knowledge of the food & beverage sector meant a move to event planning was a logical step, it was a recent stint with Volunteer Projects Abroad working with children in Ghana that was the catalyst for a new direction.
“After returning from Ghana it really hit home just how amazing our city is, and it’s a great privilege to promote its best venues”, she said.
She took up the position on April 22.
