Kelly Addis returns to lead new Auckland agency: Zoo Auckland has recently opened its doors in Mt Eden, marking the Melbourne agency’s first international venture. The Auckland agency will be headed by Kelly Addis, formerly based in Melbourne, and whose role has expanded to Auckland/Melbourne CEO.
“I’m back in NZ now,” he told M+AD. “I brought my waka back this month.
“Zoo’s unique shareholding model means our motivation is driven by client requirements and not conflicted by different profit centres,” he says. “With this in mind, Zoo Auckland presents a distinct advantage to clients who want one concept delivered seamlessly across both Australian and New Zealand markets.”
With Addis’ role expanding, Mark Richardson (a key driver of Whybin/TBWA’s Tequila brand) steps into the role of managing director Melbourne. Prior to joining Zoo as head of digital in 2013 Richardson worked as Medibank Private’s head of online for six years.
Richardson’s mandate is to grow the Zoo Melbourne client base and support the Auckland team as Addis grows the business.
Big Mobile snatches Sarah Fenton: Mobile media & solutions company Big Mobile has appointed Sarah Fenton as sales manager for New Zealand.
Fenton, who starts on Monday 8 September, will take over the reins from Michael Buhagiar who departs Big Mobile to pursue a new venture.
She comes from TradeMe where she was national display sales manager, and has a CV that spans over 14 years with roles at Yahoo! NZ, AOL UK, CBS Outdoor, and London’s Financial Times.
“We continue to develop and invest in the New Zealand market and have been busy building on our premium publisher network, audience profiling, performance offering and geo capabilities, alongside launching a range of new and exciting mobile ad products,” said Big Mobile APAC Rob Hall.
