Westhaven-based agency Chemistry Interaction has hired Jude Lehmann as creative services manager to ensure seamless workflow across the agency’s diverse portfolio, which now includes Green Cross Health and The Travel Corporation.
Lehmann, who was most recently at Shine Auckland, has worked across a host of top brands at agencies in both Auckland and Sydney. Her client experience crosses all sectors, and includes work for ASB, BNZ, Westpac, Adidas’s All Blacks campaigns, Tui, Hann, Mac’s, Qantas, Goodman Fielder, Edmonds, Clear Communications, Spark and Telstra.
In Sydney, she worked at Mojo, Clemenger BBDO, Wunderman and Grey Healthcare, while her Auckland agency credentials include Mojo in its heyday, Whybin/TBWA and a stint at Colenso. At Mojo, she worked on classic campaigns like Bluebird’s The Word, the launch of TV3 and TV4, and BankDirect, ‘the only secret campaign in Mojo’s history’.
Lehmann describes herself as a team player who looks for solutions, and focuses on getting 100% satisfaction for clients. “I’ve seen many different ways of working over the years, and the most effective agencies are those where expectations are clear, systems work, and there’s a tight-knit team of talented people working towards the end-goal,” she says.
“The idea of working for Chemistry really appealed to me. I wanted to be somewhere where I could make a difference.”
Chemistry Interaction director Joseph Silk said: “We’re getting to the size where we need someone with Jude’s capabilities to ensure we keep all our ducks in a row.
“We’ve been in business for four years now, and we’re at the point in our evolution where Jude’s knowledge and skills will only add to our strengths.”
Chemistry CD Susan Young said: “It’s great to have someone with Jude’s breadth of experience on board. She knows how to work with creative personalities while still getting results.”

Andrew Holt exits BBDO Sydney
VCCP Sydney has hired Clemenger BBDO Sydney MD Andrew Holt – a former BBDO NZ chief executive – as CEO to work alongside ECD Gary Dawson and managing partner David Kennedy-Cosgrove to help spearhead its growth in the Australian market.
Clemenger Sydney recruited Holt from Wellington in September 2014.
Campaign Brief Australia reports that VCCP Sydney was founded in 2012, and has grown, and now has a client portfolio which includes ING Direct, Fitness First, Compare the Market, Purplebricks, TAFE Western Sydney and hipages.
“In Wellington he was instrumental in leading a creative renaissance, with the agency winning Gold at Cannes, Spikes and the NZ Effies, creating New Zealand’s most popular ad in Ghost Chips and being ranked in the Top 20 agencies in the world in the Gunn Report,” says CB. “Prior to this Holt worked in the UK. He has helped deliver world-class work for brands such as Foxtel, Toyota, Vodafone, Budwieser, Aussie Home Loans, Barclaycard and the New Zealand Transport Agency.”
