Director/writer Oliver Green – well known in NZ for his work for Mojo, Colenso and Shine – has been signed by Curious Film NZ & Australia.
Green won awards at NZ’s Axis, Australia’s AWARD, at Epica, Cannes and D&AD.
He has written two books (both available at Amazon): The A to Z Of Fuckin’ Everything and, You Can’t Give Vodka To A Baby. He’s also been a stand-up comedian.
“I’m unbelievably excited to be joining Curious and working with producer Matt Noonan,” he told Campaign Brief. “I want to make work that has a good chance of snatching at the zeitgeist and affecting popular culture. I’m happiest trying to make people laugh and even happier when people actually laugh.
“I’ve been in this game for a lot of years and seen a lot of great ideas turn to shit and seen some shit ones turn out great – and I reckon I know why. I’m amping to work with creatives to pull the best out of every script because I know what it takes to get a script through the gauntlet, sold and ready to shoot.”
