DDB Group’s Mango Communications has appointed Sean Brown as general manager, and Chloe Hewitt to a freshly created role of group business director.
Brown has been a member of the Mango team since joining in 2012, and has been named general manager following a succession of promotions during his time at the agency.
Mango MD Claudia Macdonald said Brown’s promotion from group account director came as recognition of his outstanding work across a range of clients including McDonald’s, Orcon, Slingshot, Tourism Bay of Islands and Specsavers, “and the quickly increasing scope of his managerial responsibilities during his tenure”.
“I’m thrilled to be able to lead such an amazing bunch of Mangoes,” Brown said. “They really do live up to our remit of only hiring talented and nice people.
“We’re lucky to be able to produce amazing campaigns across our enviable client list and I’m looking forward to working with Chloe on building on our recent successes.”
Chloe Hewitt joins Mango in early July as group business director. She was formerly group account director at Fuel Communications in Sydney where she led accounts including The Iconic, Instagram, Visa, Skyscanner, IAG Insurance, and SodaStream for the past two years.
Prior to this she worked in the UK for five years, where she was head of international brands and design at Luchford APM.
Hewitt says she is thrilled to be returning to New Zealand where she was born but hasn’t lived since she was young.
“I’ve always loved New Zealand and I’m excited to return and start the next chapter of my career by joining the Mango team. Mango’s rich and diverse client portfolio was instantly attractive, and I can’t wait to help the team deliver bold, creative campaigns that will work well across all communications channels.”
