Sydney-based director Kiku Ohe, who is represented in Australia & New Zealand by Exit Films, has joined Los Angeles commercial production house Superprime for representation across the USA.

Paris-based Publicis Groupe has chosen Arthur Sadoun, currently ceo of Publicis Communications, to succeed Maurice Lévy as chairman & ceo of the groupe, effective June 1. Lévy has been retained as supervisory board chairman.

Young+Shand has announced the appointment of Geoff Joe in the newly created role of design director. Internationally awarded, Joe initially studied Visual Communications with a Bachelor of Design with Honours at Massey University in Wellington. His studies included extensive training in graphic design, interactive design, motion graphics and typography.

MediaWorks has appointed Oskar Alley as the lead digital editor in the Newshub team. He joins Newshub from Wellington’s Dominion Post where he held a variety of roles including assistant editor, chief reporter, and most recently deputy editor.

Finch has signed NZ writer/director Zia Mandviwalla to its roster of directors. Mandviwalla has directed commercials for Sky, Vodafone, NZTA, Google Android, Tower Insurance, the NZ Navy and ASB Bank.

FCB NZ ceo Brian van den Hurk has today announced that he will be retiring in early 2017, after 40 years in the agency business, including 28 years at FCB locally and offshore.

Bauer Media has appointed Michele Crawshaw as editor of the Australian Women’s Weekly NZ magazine. The previous – temporary – editor was Wendyl Nissan, who ran the title in 2016 while then-editor Cath Bennett was on maternity leave. Bennett had since chosen not to return.
