Auckland Council has commenced its mandatory three-year review of its agency partners – currently DDB (creative), PHD (media), Goodfolk (digital) and Alt Group (design). This year, for the first time, Auckland Council, Ateed, and Auckland Transport – driven by a perceived need to reduce the admin costs of their pitches – are taking a combined approach that will produce single agencies to service creative, digital and design needs of all three.
Previously, they operated as three distinct entities, each with its own agency partners.
But this is set to change with Council instead introducing plans for a panel of creative, design and digital partners that can be called on to service any of these arms.
Current Ateed agencies Colenso and 99, along with Auckland Transport partners Work Communications and JWT will now need to take part in an RFP process to be able to take part in the new pitch.
In the running are Clemenger/Colenso/99, DDB, O&M, and Work.
