South Korea’s New Stars – the APAC region’s main challenge for young creatives – has issued its annual invitation for creatives with fewer than three years’ experience (or aged under 30) to register for the 2017  this year’s competition.

The New Stars is a division of the Ad Stars Awards. It’s a programme that encourages young, talented creatives to represent their country and compete in a 30-hour creative challenge for the chance to be “discovered”.

The race
During the competition, each team will have 30 hours to respond to a client brief, racing to come up with solutions that are both creative and strategic.

The five best teams will have the chance to collect Gold, Silver or Bronze trophies at the end of the week as voted by Ad Stars 2017 judges.

To be eligible, you must currently work for an advertising agency and have fewer than three years’ experience, or be under 30 years old.

“Last year, we welcomed 26 teams from far and wide – including one team from Hungary,” said Ad Stars co-chair Eui Ja Lee.

“New Stars is an incredible opportunity to meet people from other cultures and collectively exchange ideas and learn from each other,” Eui Ja Lee said.

Judges
This year’s executive judges are Anselmo Ramos (CCO/founder of David Miami/São Paulo/Buenos Aires), Helen H. Pak (CCO Grey Canada), and Suthisak Sucharittanonta (chair/CCO at BBDO Bangkok).

This year’s New Stars programme will run during Ad Stars 2017 in Busan, South Korea from Wednesday 23 August to Saturday 26 August.

The registration deadline is Friday 9 June.
