AUCKLAND, Today: Boyd PR has been awarded Silver in the 2019 Bulldog PR Awards in the Best Arts & Entertainment Campaign category, for its campaign WOW My Town.
The Bulldogs is a global contest, run out of New Jersey in the US. There is no awards ceremony.
WOW My Town is one of the record-breaking number of campaign entries across 46 different categories in the Bulldog PR Awards programme.
Boyd PR managing director John Boyd said: “It really was a team effort involving BPR, Mazda and WOW, who all worked bloody hard to make WOW My Town such a success. To have this recognised in the 2019 Bulldog PR Awards is a fantastic achievement,” he says.
To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the World of Wearable Art, principal sponsor Mazda NZ drove the first-ever WOW My Town roadshow across New Zealand.
Over 10 days, a custom-wrapped Mazda CX-9 and Mazda 6 travelled over 1500kms visiting Auckland, Taupo, Nelson, Christchurch, and Queenstown before ending in Wellington just in time for the opening night of the 2018 WOW Awards Show.
Daily content was generated and shared across Mazda’s social platforms along with an 11-minute film featuring memories from past designers, models and super-fans that was also screened at the WOW hub in Wellington.
It has been a successful month for Boyd PR – the Newmarket agency was the only New Zealand PR agency shortlisted for the PR Awards Asia 2019.
