AUCKLAND, Today: Big Buddy is thrilled to announce it has been named the official charity partner for Auckland’s exciting Chasing the Fox golf event this December, bringing big names to the course.

The event has a special connection to Big Buddy through their ambassador and trustee, Grant Fox. He and his son, Ryan Fox, New Zealand’s top male golfer, are the foxes competitors will chase in this anticipated tournament.

Ryan Fox will tee off alongside a lineup of high-profile New Zealand sports stars, media personalities, and international golf YouTube talent, ensuring a fun and competitive day.

Last year, stars like All Blacks Anton Lienert-Brown, Damien McKenzie, and Will Jordan played for Team Rugby, while Mitchell Santner and Lockie Ferguson joined Team Cricket. Ross Taylor also returned to the course for some friendly rivalry.

“We’re excited to partner with Big Buddy for ‘Chasing the Fox’, as golf often plays a special role in strengthening father-son relationships. This partnership highlights mentorship and makes a positive impact.”

Ryan Fox even mentioned that Santner has the skills to go pro after cricket, so if he plays this year, all eyes will be on him as one to watch.

Grant Fox is proud to see Big Buddy benefiting from the event. “I’ve been fortunate to have a fantastic father in my life, and I want that same experience for every boy out there,” he says.

“When I learned about Big Buddy, I knew I had to get involved. The lessons from my youth have shaped who I am today, and I’m passionate about providing the same guidance to others.”

Big Buddy Co-Leader Christie Stuart said, “We are so pleased to be chosen as the charity partner for Chasing the Fox. Having Grant as our ambassador makes this even more special.”

Event promoter Nick Randell adds, “We’re excited to partner with Big Buddy for Chasing the Fox, as golf often plays a special role in strengthening father-son relationships. This partnership highlights mentorship and makes a positive impact.”
