AUCKLAND, Yesterday: Recently, the dentsu Creative Council, including top CCOs and leaders, met in Singapore. They were joined by 12 standout team members from across APAC for the dentsu Young Innovators Workshop.

Each participant was paired up, like a Japanese team member with someone from the dentsu network, involving representatives from New Zealand, India, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Singapore.

Lucy Lim, a Junior Art Director at dentsu Creative Aotearoa, teamed up with Sayo Aketagawa from dentsu Tokyo. Together, they formed Team Chopsticks, blending their skills in art and writing.

“There are always exciting discoveries in the presentations of the Young Innovators. Not only because of the participants’ passion, but also because we see innovation from diverse talents and thinking.” – Yasu Sasaki

Their challenge was to tackle a real-world brief, aimed at promoting better oral health among youth. Their innovative pitch won them the 2025 Young Innovators Award.

Post-event, Yasu Sasaki, dentsu’s Global Chief Creative Officer, shared, “There are always exciting discoveries in the presentations of the Young Innovators. Not only because of the participants’ passion, but also because we see innovation from diverse talents and thinking.”

“The winning team grasped the insights of the target audience and presented an out-of-the-box idea. It was a platform so promising that ideas kept coming from the CCOs on the judging panel. I can’t wait to see these ideas come to life!”
