AUCKLAND, Today: Clemenger Group specialist agencies Raydar, 99 and Porter Novelli – together with Hearts & Science, Socialites Group (including The Social Club) – have been awarded the New Zealand business for multinational personal care company Kimberly Clark.

Raydar & 99 GM Tom Roydhouse said: “The agencies will work together as a dedicated, collaborative and multi-disciplinary team, providing a first-class, integrated solution for Kimberly Clark.

“Expertise across the collective will bridge creative, shopper, media, PR, social and influencer marketing and activation disciplines.”

The agencies will deliver work for some of NZ’s favourite brands, including Huggies, Kleenex and U by Kotex.

Kimberly Clark head of marketing Kiri Hyde said a collaborative response and strong chemistry throughout the process made for a winning formula.

“The decision to appoint a group of highly-specialist agencies under one collective structure made complete sense,” Hyde said.

“At press time, it was unclear if the Clemenger win came after a pitch. The incumbent had been Stanley St.”

“The Clemenger team demonstrated an impressive and in-depth understanding of our brands and brought palpable energy for the work.

The relationship with Kimberly Clark will commence in 2021, with planning already under way.

Tom Roydhouse said the win shows the power of collaboration between agencies.

“Our approach provides a truly integrated proposition for the team at Kimberly Clark. Having so many experts across different fields means we can streamline our creative thinking and solutions and operate much more efficiently, which is even more important in today’s market.”

Porter Novelli MD Louise Wright said: “You’d be hard pressed to find a New Zealand household untouched by Kimberly Clark brands. The opportunity to partner with a trusted name making such tangible differences in the communities in which they operate is inspiring and exciting in equal measure.

“We’re stoked!”

Porter Novelli’s Adam Szentes (who issued the release) undertook to pass on M+AD’s inquiry about a possible pitch. We’ll publish the response when we hear back.

The incumbent had been Stanley Street.
