Clemenger shopping shops become one

Following an announcement earlier in the year that Clemenger Group shopper marketing agencies Raydar and Clemenger Shop will merge, group ceo Jim Moser has today announced that the two agencies will now consolidate under the Raydar brand.

“The Raydar brand has been in existence for over 20 years and has a proud history working with some of New Zealand’s leading brands,” Moser said. “While the Clemenger Shop team have worked extremely hard over the past 18 months to establish itself, we felt that the equity in the Raydar brand was too strong to ignore and hence why we decided to go in this direction.”

The Raydar brand has also undergone a refresh.

“The new branding is a natural expression of our combined agency’s character, ambitions and the excitement we feel for the future ahead,” said Raydar founder Darryl McClay.

McClay is to lead the consolidated agency as ceo alongside Troy Fuller as managing director. “Raydar is now New Zealand’s largest shopper and retail communications agency and has one of the strongest creative offerings in the market with creative directors Aaron Taylor and Nigel Hooker working alongside Paul Dobbin as creative strategist,” Moser said.

The combined client list includes Frucor Beverages, Sanitarium, Pizza Hut, Fonterra, Mondelez, Mercedes-Benz, Cerebos Greggs and George Weston Foods.
