Hot on the heels of Colenso’s latest Gunn Report ranking as the #2 most creative agency in the world, the BBDO agency has taken out Campaign Brief Australia’s NZ Agency of the Year, for a record eighth time.
The #2 ranking comes after a year-long run of awards success, including the 2016 Axis & Effies Agency of the Year, AoY titles from the Spikes Asia, Campaign Asia’s NZ AoY and Digital AoY, New Zealand Creative Agency of the Year, ranking #6 Agency in the World by The Big Won Report, AoY from the Caples Awards, Best And Bravest Agency in the World by global ad magazine Contagious.
The Contagious Bravest gong was for DB Brewtroleum, an idea that became one of the most awarded in the world, taking out over 85global awards, including a Grand Prix at Cannes, the Grand Effie at the NZ Effie Awards and D&AD’s White Pencil for Environmental Sustainability.
Brewtroleum is now in its third batch of production with Heineken markets globally looking to adopt the thinking to contribute towards its sustainable brewing practices.
During the campaign period, 8.6 million bottles of DB Export were sold and the campaign resulted in a 50,000kg reduction in carbon emissions.
In 2016, Colenso grew revenue by 15% and profit by 21%.
