NZ agencies, led by a treble Gold from Colenso/Proximity, scored well at the APAC Effies held Friday night in Singapore. Y&R and Barnes Catmur & Friends Dentsu won a Gold apiece.
Colenso/Proximity’s three Golds were won for three different clients – BNZ ($hred), Anchor (Must Be Milk), and New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (Breast Cream).
Golds were scarce on the night – just 12 were awarded in total.
Barnes Catmur also picked up two Silvers –for Hell Pizza Ransom. Ditto Colenso/Proximity for Breast Cream and Fonterra Must Be Milk.
Y&R won a Bronze for Land Rover, and Colenso/Proximity another Bronze for Fonterra Must Be Milk.
“The APAC Effies have only been around for three years but they’ve rapidly become an important benchmark for measuring the quality of the work that we do, and most importantly, the results that this work drives for our clients,” said Colenso MD Scott Coldham.
“So to have three different clients take out gold Effies and for seven of the eight shortlisted campaigns to win metal is an outstanding result. We know that great work works great, and for our work to be recognised at such an important show is a fantastic accolade for the teams behind the work.”
Overall Colenso BBDO / Proximity were the second most awarded agency behind Lowe Lintas India and BBDO was named Network of the Year.
