AUCKLAND, Today: Contagion has created a new campaign for Instant Finance, which reenlists Penny the Hippo to its cause.

The multi-channel marketing campaign and latest round of TVCs, which have been rolling out progressively from May through to July.

“Brand affinity cannot be understated in its ability to put smiles on faces, while also driving messaging in corporate and consumer markets,” says IAF ceo Dion Jones.

“This is off the back of resoundingly positive sentiment about Penny last year.”

Jones says brand direction for this year’s campaign was a no-brainer following success of Penny’s launch in 2018.

“It’s been fantastic to see the overwhelmingly response to the new face of our brand, Penny.”

Creative and media agency Contagion conceptualised ‘Makers of Possible’, while Penny’s CGI for visual assets was executed by The Frank Barton Company (Spain) and Contagion themselves.

ECD (and Contagion founder) Bridget Taylor says the journey in generating brand awareness for Instant Finance has been rewarding.

“Over the past 12 months, it has been fantastic to see the overwhelmingly positive response to the new face of our brand, Penny the Hippo,” she said.

“The complete step-change in strategy that we went through with Instant Finance, in all aspects of the business – social media, in branch, online, television – has been well received and resulted in an increase in brand metrics across the board.

“This, coupled with Instant Finance’s focus on responsible lending and care for its customers, makes it a great partner and one we are proud to be working with.”
