AUCKLAND, Today: The 2019 NZ Radio Awards will be held at Sky City Theatre in Auckland on Thursday 20 June from 4.30pm. The awards show will start promptly at 5pm & will also be simulcast on the RBA website (scroll down for the link).
Finalists include last year’s Best Music Breakfast Show winners ZM’s Fletch, Vaughan & Megan along with Simon Barnett & Gary McCormick from More FM & The Edge’s Dom, Meg & Randell.
Best Talk Presenter is hotly contested again with previous year’s winner Mike Hosking from Newstalk ZB up against fellow host Larry Williams and Guyon Espiner & Susie Ferguson from RNZ National. Marcus Lush from Newstalk ZB is hoping to defend his win from last year for Best Talk Presenter , up against Leighton Smith (Newstalk ZB) & Kim Hill (RNZ National).
The Network Station of the Year finalists include RNZ National, ZM and The Edge.
The hosts for the night are Meg Annear from MediaWorks and Megan Papas from NZME.
The awards acknowledge the hard work within all aspects of the radio industry and celebrate the on-air personalities, programming, news & sports coverage, promotions, creativity & production, sales and community involvement.
