Auckland PR shop Crave has crafted twin-city month-long activations to launch Misty Cove canned NZ wines to Kiwi consumers. The promotion, labelled Misty Cove Wine Garden, kicks off at The Lula Inn in Auckland’s Viaduct on Friday 23 February, and opens at the new Engineers rooftop bar in Christchurch on Thursday 1 March.

“Canned wine is for good times and good company, which is something that Misty Cove definitely embodies,” said Misty Cove founder Andrew Bailey.

“Misty will be in sure supply at The Lula Inn with acclaimed Australian DJ Tigerlily performing alongside familiar home-grown talent such as Jupiter Project, Zeisha, Karn Hall and surprise special guests,” he said.

“Those in the South Island get to see and hear Kiwi artists Jupiter Project, P-Money and PDigsss from Shapeshifter.”

Bailey says Misty Cove Wines is pushing the boundaries one can at a time “Once written off as a passing fad, canned wines have taken the world by storm and it’s clear that the trend is here to stay.

“Misty Cove is anything but predictable and now they’re trailblazing by being New Zealand’s first on-premise wine-in-a can offering. Canned wine is for good times and good company, which is something that Misty Cove definitely embodies. Celebrating their loveable rogue persona they are embracing music from every genre, to help fuel the good times with their great selection of wines.

“We like to push the boundaries with everything we do at Misty Cove, from making wine more accessible and challenging convention, to producing Misty Music events. We see them as a great way to create awesome experiences for our customers whilst showcasing our award-winning range of wines, available across two garden bar locations for the duration of February and March.”
