AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Grey Lynn-based indie media agency D3 has been appointed to manage the UP Education media account. The incumbent was MBM, which was also involved in the selection process.

This follows a significant first year for the agency created by Alex Radford and Richard Thompson just over 18 months ago.

With My Food Bag and The Co-operative Bank as foundation clients, D3 in the last six months have added Stuff Fibre, Energy Club, Pure Foods, and now UP Education to its client roster.

In that 12 months D3 has also successfully become a Google Partner and a Preferred Facebook marketing partner, as well as becoming accredited Adobe partner.

D3 Partner Alex Radford said, “We’re really excited about this win. We have worked hard to develop an agency that operates at a level that is consistent with our clients’ needs.

“We have invested in the processes and technologies to drive efficiencies and effectiveness to allow the team to focus on accelerating our clients’ businesses.”

“We were impressed by their commitment, as well as the digitally led thinking we need as we grow our business.”

Richard Thompson said, “This success confirms that we are going in the right direction. We have been working with the UP Education team for the last six months on their paid social activity and we have built a strong relationship with the whole team.

“We now can’t wait to expand our thinking across all media.”

UP Education senior marketing manager Athalia Harper said, “Since working with the team at D3 we have been impressed by their commitment to our business, as well as the digitally led thinking which we need as we grow our business.”

Work commences immediately.
