LONDON, Today: D&AD has appointed two Kiwis to the judging panel for its 2019 awards in the UK in May. They are Colenso BBDO CD Maria Devereux, and DDB CD Brett Colliver.

Beth O’Brien, creative group head at Colenso – and a D&AD judge last year – said: “Being a part of D&AD is a special experience for a creative. It’s an environment full of uniquely talented brains, coupled with the enthusiasm and drive to match.

“Brett Colliver sat on the Cannes Lions Cyber jury in 2017.”

“Maria is one of the very best, so it’s no surprise she’s been asked to lend her exceptional taste to the judging panel. I’m stoked for her, it’s going to be a wild ride.”

Devereux said: “I began my career in this fabulous industry as a designer so D&AD has always held a special place in my heart. To be asked to judge is an absolute honour and I look forward to being inspired by the wonderful work and people D&AD naturally attracts.”

Devereux will sit on the Experiential jury, but at press time Colliver’s role was yet to be clarified (in 2017, he sat on the Cannes Lions Cyber jury). An announcement is expected shortly from DDB.
