LONDON, Today: The 62nd annual D&AD Awards Ceremony is set for Wednesday, 22 May 2024, in London. The first shortlist includes categories like Art Direction, Branding, Digital & Social, Film, and Photography.

D&AD President 2024 Jack Renwick said, “In a climate where projects and resources are increasingly under pressure, creativity remains unstoppable. Looking across the shortlist, creatives are showing that they can think their way around these restrictions and continue to create brilliant, impactful work.”

The D&AD Awards celebrate creative excellence, believing creativity is crucial for commercial, economic, social, and cultural success. Known for their rigour, these awards highlight the best in advertising and design.

D&AD ensures a rigorous judging process, focusing on integrity and selecting only exceptional work. The awards feature over 43 categories judged by 300+ top creatives from 60+ countries, with 54% female-identifying judges.

As a charity, D&AD funds educational programs like D&AD Shift, a free night school for self-taught creatives from under-represented backgrounds, running in cities like London, New York, and Berlin.

New categories such as Luxury, Pharma, Sustained Impact, Health, and Wellbeing reflect the evolving creative industries. These additions keep the awards current and inclusive, recognising excellence in specialised areas and providing a platform for innovative work.
