PARIS, Today: Advertising eavesdropping site Adforum has named DDB NZ’s latest tvc for Steinlager at No 1 in its weekly roundup of the top five tvcs in the world.

Steinlager Tokyo Dry 2 edged ahead of contenders from the US, UK, Spain, and Canada. DDB’s ad was inspired by Dave Dobbyn’s 1986 hit Slice of Heaven.

Dobbyn last week told M+AD: “When I wrote ‘da da da’ 33 years ago, I never imagined them to be some of the best lyrics I’d ever written.”
