The first entry close-off date for the 2017 Radio Awards is this Monday 6 March at 5pm – but the awards organisers have today confirmed that late entries will be accepted up to the end of next week (to 5pm Friday 10 March).
The awards are open to all New Zealand radio stations and their staff, advertising agencies, production houses and others who contribute to broadcasting in New Zealand. This includes both commercial and non commercial stations and networks and Maori and ethnic radio, for which there are also special categories.
“Also,” writes awards committee producer Donna Bloxham, “please note the changing in templates and judging criteria this year is to ensure the focus of the awards is on audio, idea, results and relevant facts – and not the visual impact of the entry.
“If you want to include additional material/words over and above the template limit please make sure this allowable under the criteria and upload material and that it is not part of the main entry as they will not be part of the main judging criteria otherwise.
“The focus should be on demonstrating great use of our medium and results rather than a lot of time spent on creating beautiful entries. Please contact me if you have any queries or concerns.”
