Dentsu Aegis Network New Zealand has signed the lease as the sole corporate tenant of 68 Sale Street in Victoria Quarter – the former Screentime building, which has been transformed by building owner Tim Wilson with a base build design from Stack.

The 2500sq m, five-story building will accommodate 90 staff from all agency brands within the Dentsu Aegis Network group in New Zealand – Carat, iProspect, Vizeum, Amnet, Haystac, Isobar, ApolloNation, and Synergy Live – with associated corporate, finance, and operational support.

Dentsu Aegis Network will occupy most of the building, along with a café on the ground floor.

The building’s interior is being designed by award winning architecture firm Jose Gutierrez Ltd which recently won the Supreme Award at the 2015 Interior Awards for his fit-out of the TRA office in Britomart.

With great views over Victoria Park and Auckland Harbour, the new Dentsu Aegis building will provide room for growth in the network’s headcount over the coming years.

“We have enjoyed our time in Parnell but there is an exciting energy in Victoria Quarter that we want to be a part of,” said Dentsu Aegis Network NZ ceo Rob Harvey.

“This move will place us within walking distance of a number of our clients, media partners, and some of Auckland’s best hospitality.

“The building itself will be unrecognisable from its previous state, and with Jose’s design we will have a space that embodies the values of our group.  It will be a collaborative working environment with a sophistication and elegance I know our team, clients, and visitors will love.

“We have ambitious plans for growth over the coming years and moving into Sale Street will signal a new era for Dentsu Aegis Network in New Zealand.”

From November/December Dentsu Aegis Network’s new address will be 68 Sale Street, Victoria Quarter, Auckland.

Surprisingly, the London-based network’s group website www.dentsuaegisnetwork.com features a global map of its “key” offices – on which the NZ office is not included. There is no dedicated NZ website for the group, either – for NZ info you need to visit www.dentsuaegisnetwork.com.au.
