NZME has launched its easy-listening radio brand Coast in Russell on 89.6FM. Group director – entertainment Dean Buchanan says the Coast team is thrilled. “Coast plays the music people love to sing along to – it’s the perfect companion for any time of the day, whether you’re driving to work, pottering around the house or going for a walk.
“We hope the people of Russell will love this new station.”
Coast is currently giving listeners the chance to win a trip to see Barbra Streisand live in New York City. The winner will be announced on August 4, giving Russell listeners plenty of time to enter the draw.
Russell brings the Coast network to 17 stations: Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay (AM), Kapiti, Manawatu (AM), Nelson, Northland (AM), Russell, Rotorua, Southland, Taranaki (AM), Tauranga, Waikato, Wanganui, Wellington. All – except those marked AM – broadcast on FM frequencies
