In 2014, New York Festivals unveiled their iconic new trophies created by the revered design firm Sagmeister & Walsh and inspired by New York City’s classic art deco skyscrapers. Trophies are awarded to Finalists, Third Prize, Second Prize, First Prize, Grand Prize and World’s Best Idea. They come in five different sizes and six different colours. Additionally, a video projector is embedded in the base of each trophy which projects the winning work along with the complete credits of all involved in the creation of the award-winning work.
“New York Festivals’ new trophy is the world’s best trophy – ever!” says Luiz Sanches, CCO and partner, AlmapBBDO Brazil.
New York Festivals also honours Global Brand of the Year, Global Agency Network of the Year, Regional Agency of the Year, Boutique Agency of the Year, Best New Agency of the Year, Film Production Company of the Year, Best of Show and Grand Prize Awards.
New York Festivals says it annually assembles over 400 of the world’s foremost creative people to sit on the Grand Jury who collectively cast over 300,000 votes to select the Shortlist winners. The Executive Jury, comprised of 24 chief creative officers, will meet together on one panel May 15-19 to select higher award winners from the shortlisted winners.
The 2015 New York Show panel discussions and networking events will take place on Thursday 21 May 21 at NYIT Auditorium on Broadway. The New York Show gala cocktail party, awards ceremony, and after-party to celebrate the winners will be held that evening at the renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, Broadway at 60th Street, New York City.
Entries to each of the competitions are judged around the world by panels of peers in their respective industries.
