After nine years with TBWA Australia and New Zealand, the agency’s Auckland executive director Andrew Scott is leaving to launch a new agency, Scott & Partners. He leaves with generous praise from his former boss ringing in his ears.

“I’ve wanted to do this for a number of years now and I’m excited to be finally making it happen,” Scott said. “After nine years with TBWA I’m ready for the challenge. The timing is right as TBWA\Auckland is now back on track and with fresh new talent they will be in good hands.” [see following story].

Scott, partnering with a group of experienced and talented senior people, will lead Scott & Partners. “We will bring in the right people with the right skill-sets and experience to suit our clients’ business needs,” Scott said.

“I know the model is right for today’s market because clients want to work directly with senior people who can make decisions about their business, in the moment, without all the overheads.”

TBWA Australia-NZ’s Sydney-based ceo Paul Bradbury said: “Scotty has earned huge respect from everyone at TBWA across Australia and New Zealand and we are really excited for him. He was instrumental in the growth and success of our Melbourne office and has helped us get the Auckland office back on track.”

In addition to his time at TBWA\Melbourne and TBWA\Auckland, Scott has worked in large network agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi NZ and Publicis London.

“I’ve had a great run in the network game, working with some of the best people in the industry and fantastic clients along the way,” Scott said.

“Scott & Partners is the next chapter – it’s exciting times.”
