AUCKLAND, Today: Florence Noble has a knack for deadpan comedy. You might’ve seen her in Michael Duignan’s The Paragon—a 4.4 star sci-fi pick on The New York Times streaming list.
She’s also a former copywriter, with stints at TBWA in London, Joburg and Auckland. That blend of ad smarts and comic timing now powers her work as a director at EXIT.
Growing up with a Creative Director dad, Florence was raised on adland chaos. That evolved into writing, performing and directing sketches with names like Nick Boshier and the Emmy-winning 7DaysLater.
“Thrilled to be welcomed into the EXIT fold. Very much looking forward to collaborating on some proper funny stuff.” – Florence Noble
She earned a spot in the MIFF Accelerator, scored a New Zealand Film Commission scholarship and landed an AXIS nod for Best Emerging Talent. Safe to say, the woman’s got range.
All that flavour now feeds her directing style. EXIT Co-Managing Partner Wilf Sweetland says “When I watched The Psychiatrist, I saw great writing, comedic timing and of course a great reveal – and that is Florence.”
“She’s disarmingly charming and lovely to work with. We are so pumped Florence is now at EXIT across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand,” he added.
