AUCKLAND, Today: Fonterra is understood to be holding a pitch for a global agency partner, according to a Damien Venutto report in yesterday’s NZ Herald.
Colenso BBDO is the current agency of record on the $40m account (the agency’s remuneration is based on project-by-project work).
TBWA Melbourne recently won Fonterra Australia from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.
“Given TBWA’s success in Australia, it’s likely they’d be interested in a bigger slice of the business.”
Fonterra, which is currently headed for a projected loss of $675m, contributed just two words to Venutto’s story: “No comment!”
Venutto wrote: “Given TBWA’s success in Australia, it seems likely the agency could also be interested in snapping up a bigger slice of the global business.”
