Ritchie McCaw’s cool MasterCard Mystery retained its top position in October, while the new Specsavers Should’ve campaign has taken over from the Hilux Weather Sweet series for the No 2 spot.

Old favourites FCB’s Devil’s Chair and Pak n’Save Stickmen, with Clemenger’s Mistakes occupy are still doing the job.

And the newcomers this month are Clemenger’s Mistakes and new Nova spot,  and two from Colenso – New World’s marvellous We’d do almost Anything for Netball, and a new spot for Perfect Italiano.

The common factor? Nine out of the 10 best ads in NZ this month use humour to sell the product.

Colmar Brunton polled 1000 New Zealanders (aged 18+) online between October 8th and 1st for this latest Top 10. Respondents were incentivised with Fly Buys reward points, and the poll has a margin of error of +/- 2.6%.
