MediaWorks is to launch a ‘plus one’ version of FOUR on the Freeview and Sky platforms next month.
FOUR Plus 1 will – like TV3 Plus 1, TV ONE Plus One and TV2+1 – be an exact duplicate, broadcast an hour later.
MediaWorks TV ceo Paul Maher says the channel provides more choice and flexibility for viewers, and increased reach for advertisers.
“With FOUR Plus1 added to the existing TV3 Plus 1 channel and the 3NOW Video On Demand service, our viewers will have more options for watching their favourite TV3 and FOUR shows than ever before.
“Adding a plus one channel will also boost FOUR’s audience numbers, delivering increased value for our clients.
“Plus one channels have been shown to significantly increase overall audience share, locally and internationally. So far in 2014, TV3 Plus1 has contributed 8% to TV3’s primetime share of the key 25-54 year old audience. A similar boost is expected for FOUR following the launch of FOUR Plus 1.
