AUCKLAND, Today: Google New Zealand has appointed Carrie Jones to the new role of communications manager. Previously Jones was comms manager at BBC Studios in London, responsible for developing and driving the global communications strategy for global franchise brands and priority content.

Prior to her role at the BBC, she spent two years at MTV Australia, managing development, implementation and execution of communication strategies for all MTV channels across Australia and New Zealand.  

Born and raised in Auckland, Jones holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Communications Management from the Unitec Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland.  

She said: “After some time overseas I’m so thrilled to be coming home and joining Google New Zealand. The growing team here are doing some amazing work locally – and I’m looking forward to being part of that work and sharing those stories.”
