CHRISTCHURCH, Today: South Island-based Harvey Cameron Group – a full-service agency known mainly for its creative work – has established a PR and engagement practice that sits within its suite of creative business solutions.

Managing director Cam Murchison says the move is inspired by the increasingly blurry line between traditional PR and marketing.

“PR has seen a shift away from focused media outreach to include more content creation and engagement,” he said in a release.

“Harvey Cameron has long had some of the best and brightest talent collaborating on comprehensive business solutions and producing ground-breaking work.

“The agency has appointed Jo de Joux as GM of PR & Engagement.”

“PR and engagement ads to this dynamic. It works across our business to provide clients with fully integrated ways of telling their stories, enhancing their reputations, building relationships and engaging their audiences.

“It also means Harvey Cameron provides all marketing, media, creative and public relations requirements, delivering our clients a more seamless brand narrative and audience engagement solution.”

Harvey Cameron has appointed Jo de Joux – an experienced public relations professional – as GM of PR & Engagement.

De Joux has managed communications, media, issues and reputation management. She’s directed brand, advertising, content creation and digital media. She’s worked closely with chief executives and boards across a diverse range of businesses, industries and organisations.

She also has extensive senior political experience, having worked as a senior advisor in central and local government. She’s provided advice to prime ministers, ministers and mayors. She’s shaped public policy and managed five general election campaigns.
