AUCKLAND, Today: Independent media owner Hypermedia has extended its national media portfolio with the acquisition of a network of shopper Proximity Panels.

The pre-existing network currently offers access to 25 shopping centre locations from Whangarei to Christchurch and consists of 111 large printed panels with immediate proximity to supermarkets and other key retailers.

“The panels are double-sided, delivering a total of 221 saleable facings reaching 1.4 million shoppers every seven days.”

Hypermedia GM Adam McGregor says given Hypermedia’s focus on creating advertising opportunities in close proximity to shoppers, in locations where they make their purchase decisions, the network is a great fit for the business and its client base.

“Our Prime Retail Network is a highly visible medium, well-positioned to reach millions of Kiwi shoppers in a simple and cost-effective way.

“The channel complements our wider media portfolio perfectly and gives us the opportunity to speak to more people in more places more often, influencing shoppers and generating positive returns for advertisers.”

Hypermedia took control of the network on March 1.
