The IAB New Zealand taps Angelina Farry

AUCKLAND, Today: The Interactive Advertising Bureau New Zealand (IAB New Zealand) has officially appointed Angelina Farry as the new CEO. With a robust background in the advertising sector, her experience spans over two decades.

Angelina’s professional journey includes significant roles at prominent network agencies like DDB Aotearoa, Saatchi & Saatchi, and TBWA\NZ Group. Her leadership was evident as she managed TBWA\NZ Group’s Eleven and helmed her own agency business.

Stephen Old, the Chair of IAB New Zealand, expressed enthusiasm for Angelina’s appointment. He highlighted the IAB’s pivotal role in connecting various sectors of the digital advertising industry and its commitment to shaping the industry’s future.

Angelina’s role will involve close collaboration with the IAB New Zealand Board. The board is a collective of industry leaders, including Stephen Old of Warner Bros, Robert Hutchinson from TVNZ, and representatives from Google, Mi9, MediaWorks, NZME, Meta, Stuff, and MetService.

“There is some incredible work being done by New Zealanders in the digital space, and globally innovation is moving at an unprecedented pace,” stated Angelina. She expressed eagerness to drive growth, aiming to leverage IAB’s global network. Her focus is on empowering Kiwi businesses to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital economy.

The IAB New Zealand is central to the country’s digital advancement. Angelina’s leadership is set to strengthen member engagement through a robust calendar of events and activities. Tama Sweetman will serve as acting General Manager until the end of January, with Angelina stepping into her role on January 22, 2024.
