Rugby World Cup partner Heineken, which works with Saatchi & Saatchi in NZ, is launching a limited edition bottle – which comes with eight return trips to Twickenham for the cup opening in September.

Heineken aims to deliver “unrivalled access for the men of the world” with a campaign running from July through to the end of the tournament. The campaign includes cinema and video-on-demand, plus a TVC, shot by Heineken Global, which starts its run in NZ on Sunday 19 July.

As the official beer of the event, Heineken’s special bottle will incorporate a bespoke design showcasing the Webb Ellis Cup. Every bottle, equipped with a unique code, is also an entry to win eight trips for two people, drawn weekly.

“We are thrilled to once again be an integral part of the world’s premier rugby tournament, and the world’s largest sporting event of 2015,” said Heineken NZ senior marketing manager Julia Imlah. “As a worldwide partner of RWC 2015, we will harness the hype surrounding the tournament and give Kiwi rugby fans a truly memorable and unique experience”.

This year marks the fifth time that Heineken has been a global sponsor of Rugby World Cup, having been involved in South Africa in 1995, Australia in 2003, France in 2007, and New Zealand in 2011.

The Rugby World Cup 2015 opens on Friday 18 September at Twickenham Stadium in England.
