Instagram has announced the release of five new filters, fetchingly named Aden, Crema, Ludwig, Perpetua and Slumber.
Since Instagram was launched by Facebook four years ago, the capabilities of its phone cameras have improved a lot. The original Instagram filters compensated for lower image quality, giving users more control over the look and feel of a photo.
These new filters are more subtle – taking advantage of higher image quality, while still giving the user a simple way to capture the mood, tone and feelings of the moment.
Along with the five filters, Instagram has also announced three new features: the ability to upload slo-mo video, real-time commenting (no need to refresh your feed), and the option to adjust your photo’s perspective using the adjust tool.
Users will also now have the ability to personalise their tray of filters.
