AUCKLAND, Today: JCDecaux has unveiled its latest large format digital billboard on the Khyber Pass Flyover, offering advertisers unlimited creative opportunities and access to the broad, inner city audience travelling along Khyber Pass Rd.

JCDecaux NZ head Mike Watkins said: “This is a high-performing site due its impressive 14.4 metre x 4.8 metre stature, its in-front, overhead positioning, exceptionally long viewing distance and close proximity to traffic lights.

“Campaigns are highly visible with extended viewing time by travelling audiences.”

“The Khyber Pass billboard also offers advertisers all the unique advantages of digital technology to maximise engagement among audiences. These include backlit screen illumination for 24-hour visibility, high definition screen technology generating brighter image quality, and the opportunity to run tactical, location specific creative messaging.

“The site captures 24,000 vehicles per day heading from Newmarket towards the Southern Motorway, Mt Eden, Ponsonby and the CBD.”

“The digitisation of the Khyber Pass Flyover follows JCDecaux’s conversion of both sides of the Parnell Overbridge earlier this year,” Watkins says. “These transformations give advertisers the opportunity to associate themselves with iconic, Auckland sites, while leveraging the strength of JCDecaux’s digital media offering.”

The Khyber Pass Rd site captures an average of 24,000 vehicles per day heading from Newmarket towards the Southern Motorway, Mt Eden, Ponsonby and the CBD.

The site is surrounded by affluent areas, close to entertainment and lifestyle precincts, including Newmarket, Remuera, Mt Eden, Parnell and Ponsonby, and delivers an average weekly audience reach of more than 41,000.

The Khyber Pass digital billboard follows the launch earlier this month of JCDecaux’s Portrait Network – five new digital portrait sites in high-traffic, highly visible locations in the heart of Auckland.

“It continues the company’s on-going digital rollout plan, and strategy to digitise the most impactful, viewable sites,” Watkins said.
