Stuff has announced the appointment of Josh Borthwick as commercial director – agency and direct. In this role, Borthwick will lead, develop and direct the national advertiser and agency sales teams, as well as the local direct sales teams.
He joins Stuff from Trade Me, where he has been the head of advertising for the last four years, during which time he transitioned Trade Me’s digital advertising business to a data-lead audience insights business, growing it from a team of 10 sales and operations staff to a group of 33 sales, product and technology, marketing and operations staff.

Stuff chief revenue officer Robert Hutchinson says the company has taken its time searching the market to find the right fit.

Previously, Borthwick founded advertising network Adhub, where he was managing director for five years.
Borthwick will be based in Auckland and begins on Monday 6 August.
